Program Goals

The main goals of the program are to help staff:

 

Increase student sense of belonging, persistence, and resiliency through the use of coaching skills and techniques.

 

Expand and strengthen existing relationship-building and goal-setting skills used in supporting students.

 

Build community with other advisors, counselors, coaches, and program coordinators across campus units.

Program Objectives

CSTP aims to meet these goals by focusing on 3 learning objectives:

Curriculum

The curriculum for CSTP is grounded in establishing an educational foundation in coaching skills while also giving space to practice these skills. Participants will also explore how the use of coaching skills can be an especially important tool for supporting historically underserved students.
